Colchester Fibre is part of Colchester Amphora Trading, one of Colchester City Council’s commercial companies focused on infrastructure. We have taken the lead in transforming Colchester’s digital connectivity, serving a growing base of residential and business customers. This includes gigabit (and higher) broadband, managed connectivity solutions, point-to-point fibre links; in addition to providing the infrastructure for the city’s CCTV system and the Council’s Helpline business.
We have attracted many millions of pounds of government and private sector investment in this critical part of Colchester’s infrastructure and are poised to expand our operations beyond Colchester. Our company is a commercial one with social value embedded in everything it does and our profits are reinvested in our sole shareholder, the City Council, for wider community benefit.
